Far Above Rubies…

On this special Day, I’d like to share a poem I wrote to tell you all about a woman near and dear to my heart…my mother.

Far Above Rubies…

Kind and Sweet.

Far Above Rubies…

Sweet and Kind.

Far Above Rubies…

A Shining Star.

Far Above Rubies…

I’m glad you’re mine.

Far Above Rubies…

Virtuous and Loving.

Far Above Rubies…

Always There.

Far Above Rubies…

You’ve taught me so much.

Far Above Rubies…

You’ve Always Cared.

Far Above Rubies…

Words can’t describe.

Far Above Rubies….

Money Can’t Buy.

Far Above Rubies…

Something as Precious as a Dove.

Far Above Rubies…

A Mother’s Love.

I’m 23 years old now. The older I get, the more I appreciate you and the sacrifices you’ve made for me. You are strong and powerful beyond measure. You have a heart of gold and I pray and hope that when I have daughters of my own, they too, look up to me the way I look up to you. I pray that I instill in them the values of dignity, respect, and moral fiber that you’ve instilled in me. Above all, the single most important thing that I love and admire most about you is your faith in God. Your courage to believe in Him, even in the tough times, is inspiring. You instilled that faith in me. You made sure, that if I didn’t know anything else, that I knew to trust in God and believe in His word. I love you so much. Words can’t describe. I am the virtuous woman that I am because I was raised by a Queen. You protected me all my life and most importantly, Ma, you always prayed for me. (*Helen Baylor’s voice* I have a PRAAAAYING MOTHAAAA…Never turned her back on me…lol!). I love you so much, beautiful woman of God. Continue to shine and be the virtuous woman God called you to be. I love you and you are appreciated.

Sincerely,

Your Little Lightfoot

(It wouldn’t be right if I didn’t do it….I LOVE YOU, MY PRINCESS FATMAN! ^_^)
